Year 7 Camp 2016

Year 7 Camp in Term 1 seems like a distant memory now that we are closer to the end of the year then the start of it. But those memories will last a lifetime.

Getting ready for camp took up most of the first term for the Year 7’s! There were so many team building activities to do and costumes to organise beforehand.  At Camp MERC there were lots of different activities to try. Unfortunately the weather was bad, so we couldn’t go in the water, but we still had a fantastic time doing the giant's ladder, abseiling, rock-climbing, stack em and heaps more! The camp disco was a major highlight and everyone had an amazing time playing the chocolate game and dancing. This year we had 6 teams with unique names, which were the Hiking Hippos, Airborne Archers, Surfing Sloths, Samurai Sailors, Rebellious Rafters and the Kracka Lacker Kayakers. For the first time ever, there was a draw for the camp cup, which was taken by the Hiking Hippos and the Airborne Archers. Everyone had such a great time and we all sad to leave.

Check out some of the highlights below brought to you by Team Lazerbeam (Zak and Ollie).
