Sports Councillors 2017 Introduction
Hi Team Glendowie!
This year our Sports Team has done a lot behind the scenes already. This year we have had to apply to become a Sport Councillor and Sport Leader.
We are your Sports Councillors - Gia and Monty and we are enjoying helping deliver awesome sports to the school.
Our 2017 Sports Leaders are Hollie, Finn, Oliver, Hannah, Hugo, Tyra, Louise, Helena, Ruby.
All of us have been working closely with the Property Team and Mr Kloppers to get many things completed like the opening of the turf, each syndicate sports on Fridays and the Syndicate Sports Teams.
We are all eager to get stuck into the year we are planning to bring a lot more sport to the table.
If you have any questions you will see us around the school to ask.

Healthy Lungs Challenge
Hi classes as most of you know Amelia and Ella have come around to each classes between year 5 to year 8. So as you guys should know we have been doing the exhibition and for one of my actions we are starting an awesome competition, the healthy lungs challenge, for this month the asthma month, September. All you need to do is to, is to walk to school each day or do 30 minutes of sport and/or exercise outside of school, if you already do sport ,or do an hour of sport around two times a week then that also counts towards the competition as well, you could start eating healthy, no junk food, more veggies in your lunch or come up with your own thing to help you keep healthy. Ok so you guys should know what travelwise week is and we’ll be coming around and talking to you to find out how much more sport or how much veggies you had have that day or whatever you going to do, this is a class competition and the prize is 15 mins extra play.If you guys don’t really want to help your class out or are more of an artist then that's ok because there is another challenge. Just show us what healthy lungs look like to you and we'll enter you into the competition.
Your art piece can be anything from a painting, drawing, design or collage, to a photograph or sculpture.
Enter the Healthy Lungs Art Competition to be in to win your artwork published in the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ magazine, Better Breathing Better Living, plus a $50 Cinema Voucher! Please email amelia or ella with you age, name, year and class and we'll come back around to get you art before the 25th of September. We will announce the winners term 4 and give out prizes. We will come around on monday to record the amount of sport or fruit/veggies.
